Life so Far

 Hello those of you who have been following, I am so sorry about the distance of time between posts. I didn't even realize I had been away for five months, it's insane because so much has happened since my last post. First, I got a job as a full-time building sub with an elementary school. It was a lot of fun but let me tell you, it was difficult. I hadn't subbed in so long that my anger sometimes got the better of me. I am not proud of it because they were just little kids but sometimes that happens to all of us I suppose. However, I did call off too many times, more than I had with the district I worked in a lot last school year I might add. So I had the feeling in my stomach my position was going to be soon terminated but not banned from the building. I do not blame the principal for her decision and while it is sad, I do agree. Though the following week I was getting married so not much of a bummer there. 

Yes, folks, I got married recently and it was the best thing ever. I do not remember having a more perfect day. I now get to actually say that she is my wife. It felt weird at first getting used to it, though the more I tell people that she is my wife, the more I get used to it.

Well, my followers, assuming I have any, I will make sure I post more regularly from now on and make sure you tell your friends and family about my page. Maybe next time I'll tell you about some progress on my book.

 Things have become more and more difficult in the current job market for someone who has so much to offer with a good degree and for some positions all the necessary requirements. However, things have never been more difficult than to be born in the millennial generation and having to cope with the fact that my generation has fucked up so bad, no one wants to hire my generation if you are under the age of 30. My generation has proved to the world we do not have a hard work ethic. Do not like to be at the job especially if it is a high-paying position. One might hate the current position, but endure the pain if there is room for growth. Endure it and move forward. The hard work will usually pay off.

ABA Work

 So I work in the ABA industry. For those of you who do not know what that means, it stands for Applied Behavioral Analysis. I am a Registered Behavior Technician, and I work with autistic children. I love what I do, and the children are so smart and sweet. But sometimes I feel like the RBTs' work goes unnoticed. A lot of the time, we deal with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) who doesn't really care. They create the programs that we implement, but we may suggest things to the BCBA, and while they say they'll look into it, they won't. Or they just do not care enough to. The company I work for, I really like, but of course, with all jobs, there are the pros and cons. Pro: more work opportunities; Con: Managers don't really listen to what you are saying and want more of a "yes man" instead of an RBT who will do what is necessary to make sure the client is taken care of.

The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Review

I went and saw the new Hunger Games Movie which was a prequel movie to the Hunger Games series. The movie was titled "Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" which is based on the novel written by Suzanne Collins and takes place at the 10th annual Hunger Games with a young Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blyth, becoming a mentor to the District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird whom was played by Rachel Zegler. The games are not as we know them from the series. The tributes are treated like animals and not as they are treated in the other movies. But clearly, they do get better as time goes on. Though I had reservations about seeing it due to the backlash Zegler had received in recent months, it was still a very entertaining movie, giving the audience background on a younger version of President Snow. I do suggest going and seeing The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes now open in theaters as it is thrilling, suspenseful and all around fun for the whole family.
