Virus and Vaccination

 So one thing I've noticed of late is all the things about the Delta Variant of the Covid-19 virus and the media coverage about it. There's a lot of it. And I just have to say, while I do enjoy reading all of the articles about it, I also hate reading all the articles, and saying that wearing masks is the way to go. Outbreaks of the variant are going up all over the country and the world because people refuse to get vaccinated and are not wearing masks. I mean come on, it's simple enough whether you get the Johnson & Johnson( The least popular) or the Pfeizer, which has been FDA approved and is being turned into a booster. Those virus outbreaks, some yes are happening to those that are vaccinated but few and far between but a majority is happening to those that are unvaccinated and are not wearing masks, who then have to quarantine and then the truth comes out.

If you already have underlying health conditions and have worries about the vaccine or the booster, do what all drug commercials say "Consult your physician/family doctor before use" sure this is not the exact same as taking an over the counter or prescription drug, but the message is still universal. And it's going to be the same for the Pfeizer booster. Also, if you have not already heard/read, the Pentagon is making it mandatory for all active-duty military members(Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Reserves, National Guard, etc.), to get the vaccine. Yes, that is true, the government has signed off stating that all personnel has to get the vaccine or booster if they want to continue serving/employment. And I don't think it will be long before they do the same for the rest of the country. Since the spread of the Delta Variant vaccination numbers have gone up in most states, but it definitely won't be long before it is mandatory for all able-bodied American workers to get it, oh and have I mentioned it's free?

So if you're worried about the side effects of the Pfeizer like you've heard what they are, just deal with it, it's like getting the flu shot, some people after getting it end up getting the flu, some don't. But please, I implore you to get the vaccine to help prevent the spread of this goddamn virus. I don't care about the masks, but just get the vaccine and then 8 months later, possibly get the booster if you want. So it's your choice, help the spread of the virus, or help end it by getting vaccinated. do the right thing.

ABA Work

 So I work in the ABA industry. For those of you who do not know what that means, it stands for Applied Behavioral Analysis. I am a Registered Behavior Technician, and I work with autistic children. I love what I do, and the children are so smart and sweet. But sometimes I feel like the RBTs' work goes unnoticed. A lot of the time, we deal with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) who doesn't really care. They create the programs that we implement, but we may suggest things to the BCBA, and while they say they'll look into it, they won't. Or they just do not care enough to. The company I work for, I really like, but of course, with all jobs, there are the pros and cons. Pro: more work opportunities; Con: Managers don't really listen to what you are saying and want more of a "yes man" instead of an RBT who will do what is necessary to make sure the client is taken care of.

The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Review

I went and saw the new Hunger Games Movie which was a prequel movie to the Hunger Games series. The movie was titled "Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" which is based on the novel written by Suzanne Collins and takes place at the 10th annual Hunger Games with a young Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blyth, becoming a mentor to the District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird whom was played by Rachel Zegler. The games are not as we know them from the series. The tributes are treated like animals and not as they are treated in the other movies. But clearly, they do get better as time goes on. Though I had reservations about seeing it due to the backlash Zegler had received in recent months, it was still a very entertaining movie, giving the audience background on a younger version of President Snow. I do suggest going and seeing The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes now open in theaters as it is thrilling, suspenseful and all around fun for the whole family.
