Into the Fire

Recently, I have viewed director James Cameron's latest blockbuster hit, "Avatar: Fire and Ash." The film is the third installment of his five-picture series from the initial Avatar movie from 2009. The film was very well written and had the kind of flow that some films today lack. The movie picks up where the previous movie, "Avatar: The Way of the Water," left off. The film centered on a new antagonist who is allied with the original antagonist, the RDA. It focuses on a different Navi'i tribe simply known as The Ash. Sam Worthington reprised his role as protagonist Jake Sulley. The movie spends a lot of its time focusing on the spiritual side of things, with one of the protagonists trying to connect and grow closer with the Navi'i goddess.

ABA Work

So I work in the ABA industry. For those of you who do not know what that means, it stands for Applied Behavioral Analysis. I am a Registered Behavior Technician, and I work with autistic children. I love what I do, and the children are so smart and sweet. But sometimes I feel like the RBTs' work goes unnoticed. A lot of the time, we deal with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) who doesn't really care. They create the programs that we implement, but we may suggest things to the BCBA, and while they say they'll look into it, they won't. Or they just do not care enough to. The company I work for, I really like, but of course, with all jobs, there are the pros and cons. Pro: more work opportunities; Con: Managers don't really listen to what you are saying and want more of a "yes man" instead of an RBT who will do what is necessary to make sure the client is taken care of.

Today

Today was not so much fun. I spent the whole day at home in my apartment watching movies and sleeping. I woke up feeling like I was going to vom and I did. So I had to call off work because I was sick. And I've just felt like crap all day. It sucks. I thought of playing video games, but I did not because it would've hurt my head even more. But I was able to watch more of this really good show,  The Mentalist. It's a really good show and funny in some areas. A good watch on a sick day.

MARCUS Update 2

I want to say that things are going pretty well with updating my book. Going in and adding things, along with taking things away, is a really good thing. I've come to notice that I'm thinking of new content to bring to the pages and making it larger. I want to make things more grounded. I gave Marcus an actual home. Well, a big house for him to sleep in. Instead of placing his residence in a high-rise in downtown Columbus, I decided to make it more rural. Still close to Columbus, Ohio, but I have his residence in rural Pickerington.

Editing

I decided I wanted to get into editing. I know I can be really good at it. The only thing is trying to find clients. If you follow me, please spread the word.

Careers

Things have become more and more difficult in the current job market for someone who has so much to offer with a good degree and for some positions all the necessary requirements. However, things have never been more difficult than to be born in the millennial generation and having to cope with the fact that my generation has fucked up so bad, no one wants to hire my generation if you are under the age of 30. My generation has proved to the world we do not have a hard work ethic. Do not like to be at the job especially if it is a high-paying position. One might hate the current position, but endure the pain if there is room for growth. Endure it and move forward. The hard work will usually pay off.

Joker: Folie a Deux(The Madness of Two)

My wife and I decided to go and see the new Joker movie that came out on October 4, 2024, last night. Joker Folie A Deux or as it translates to "madness of two" was not as exciting as the trailers made it seem. We see in the trailer that Harley Quinn is a patient at Arkham Asylum but what you find out later in the movie is the reason why, and it is a little disappointing. The movie was not very well perceived or even received by audiences and critics. Normally when movies like this come out the critics will say it was not done as well as it should have been but fans will rate it higher than what critics say. However, this was an unexpected circumstance where fans and critics agreed. The critic website known as Rotten Tomatoes listed the two scores: Critics rated it 32%, and fans rated it 32%. The male lead, Joaquin Phoenix, did a stupendous job at some points. The Female lead portrayed by famous singer Lady Gaga, did a very good job but did not quite measure up to the charac...
